Cho Hakkai (豬八戒) is the polite, level-headed, and nurturing member of the Sanzo Ikkō, often taking on roles such as cooking, cleaning, and mediating conflicts. He possesses the ability to manipulate chi (kikou jutsu), which he uses for healing, creating energy blasts, and forming protective barriers. While generally calm and amiable, he is fiercely feared by his companions when angered. Hakkai was originally a human named Cho Gonou, a former school teacher who became a youkai (demon) after a brutal act of revenge: massacring 1,000 youkai, including those responsible for the rape and suicide of his elder sister, Kanan. Found near death, he was reborn as Cho Hakkai as penance for his crimes, even ripping out his own right eye in atonement to a surviving victim's relative. To keep his immense youkai power in check, he wears a set of three power limiters as ear cuffs on his left ear and is often seen with his pet dragon, Hakuryuu (or Jeep).
Other:
Cho Hakkai comes from a series with many adult themes and topics and is perhaps one of the characters who deals with some of the harsher situations involved. Because of that I am leaving the comments section open as an opt out post for anyone who does not wish to play with him or with certain topics that involve him. No animosity, no questions, full open communication. Anon is on if need be and all comments are screened.

Cho Hakkai is a (somewhat) reformed serial killer with some pretty messed up ideals despite his polite and caring outward demeanor. Due to this, if topic of his past ever comes up, be sure to expect these topics to come up:

Fighting/Injury: Yes. Hakkais is a skilled hand-to-hand fighter, is fairly versatile with weapons, has special powers, and is so canonically used to getting his butt kicked that injury of any form is normalized to him.
