🌙 SEXUALITY & PREFERENCES: Unsure Hakkai is, quite truthfully, absolutely unsure in matters of sexuality and his preferences there. He has canonically been in one relationship before but considering it was with his twin sister; it makes it challenging to base any future relationship against her. He has canonically stated he likes stronger women and seems to quickly develop emotional and physical attachments to more assertive and extroverted types of personalities. It's shown that he doesn't necessarily seem to care about the concept of a person's gender as much as some other members in his friend group seem to care. Sharing certain similarities to him most likely doesn't hurt his attraction either. 🌙 PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Hakkai is the shy and quiet type and takes time to warm up to people on his own. Material things would fluster him at first, and he would be the first to try and take things slower. But once he is used to you, he is quick to open up and show his true playful and flirty nature. 🌙 HUGGING: Depends on the person. He has issues with physical intimacy if it's out of the blue and with a complete stranger. He needs to be comfortable with them. 🌙 KISSING: Same as stated above 🌙 FLIRTING: This he's a bit more open with and has a few times in canon shown to be quite flirty and playful with people. 🌙 RELATIONSHIPS: Build up will definitely be required for Hakkai as he has quite a few emotional barriers as well as some some self-confidence issues in regards to his physical appearance ~~scarring and alternate form~~. 🌖 FIRST IMPRESSIONS (OPTIONAL)

🌙 VISUAL: Hakkai is a tall (5'11") and clean-cut looking man with a slender to average looking build but is deceivingly quite muscular due to his years of fighting to survive. He has short, cropped dark hair with messy bangs that cover over his right eye slightly. It looks black, but it's just a very dark shade of brown. His most distinguishing feature, though, is his stunningly light green eyes. His body language is generally reserved, with his arms folded around himself in some way. He tends to take mostly passive stances unless otherwise provoked. And looks youthful but still very much comes off as a mand in his mid-20's. Other distinguishing traits are his long and beautiful hands, as well as a large ugly looking gashed scar across his stomach that didn't heal quite right. His body does have various other smaller scars and, if one looks close enough, they can tell that his right eye seems somewhat off. It gives away the hints of it being a biotech prosthetic. HE ALSO HAS AN ALTERNATE FORM! Cho Hakkai, in his true nature, is a full-bloded youkai. The magitec power limiters conceal his form on his ear in the shape of three ear cuffs. When removed, his hair grows messy and reaches about shoulder length. His skin takes a slightly more yellow/green hue, and his ears grow elongated and pointed at the tips. He has claws, fangs, and perhaps his most prominent feature is the long vine-like markings that wrap and coil around the entirety of his body. His prosthetic right eye becomes more apparent as his natural look turns a bright golden color with a cat-like pupil. 🌙 FASHION: Hakkai generally tends to dress more reserved. Naturally reserved and self-conscious as he is, most of his choice in clothing tends to make him come off as a somewhat messy scholarly type. He tends to mix traditional Chinese fashion with modern casual wear. His go-to outfit being his green cheongsam, beige slacks, a green headband, and a beige sash that he wears over his left shoulder. He also is often otherwise seen sporting button shirts. He has various casual clothing that Jin Guangyao offered to him upon his arrival in Erku. 🌙 DEMEANOR: Hakkai has a light, soft-spoken voice that often carries a somewhat sing-song tone. He comes off as polite but slightly awkward. A friendly sort who's always eager to try his best to help in some way, he speaks very formally, betraying his higher-level education. And yet, there always seems to be a lingering sense of tired sadness behind his eyes. He rarely ever shows stress or anger, making it all the more problematic. Upon getting to know him, Hakkai tends to more comfortable open up to a degree. He is prone to witty humor and making dumb jokes at other expenses. Besides that, he is relatively devoted and quite protective of those he holds under his care. If he gets stressed, his body language usually comes off as tenser, and his smile strained, a Stepford-smiler. His smile rarely ever leaves his features, and when it does, one can generally assume that someone isn't going alive. 🌙 SOUND: Hakkai has a calm, light yet clear spoken voice. He rarely ever stutters, although he can occasionally get flustered. He tends to litter his vocabulary with more eloquent and complex words, betraying his history as a scholar. It can often come off as sounding soft and calm even when he's offering the most problematic threats. But despite the musical tone of his voice, he's pretty self-conscious about singing and considers himself tone-deaf. (If he's exceptionally comfortable around you, though, you may occasionally catch him humming to himself while he's engrossed in housework.) 🌙 SCENT: Hakkai has a very clean yet woodsy scent to him. Like cedar and pine. He's surprisingly outdoorsy despite being a bookworm and is often lying in the sun on the grass or hanging out around a garden. Because of that, he has a light natural scent. 🌙 MENTAL ABILITIES/DEFENSES: Hakkai is naturally strong-willed and has a high resolve. Because of that, he is canonically less prone to outside mental forces. He is moderately immune to the "Minus-Wave" effect, which could break and revert most other youkai in his world to their more primal instincts. Upon facing off one-on-one against Chin Yisou, a character with mind-control capabilities, Hakkai was not only aware enough to block it, but he was able to sense it and pretend to fall prone to throw his enemy off guard. His mental resolve becomes considerably more vulnerable when he removes his limiters and reveals his true form. 🌙 MAGICAL ABILITIES/DEFENSES: Hakkai is a master in qigong (spiritual manipulation). With his practice, he can control and exert his spiritual energy into a physical force. With it, he can shoot out pure beams of physical energy from his hands. He can also create protective forcefields and barriers with it and transfer it onto others to spread up to the spread process since it is his physical life force that he is exerting though it does have its limits. And if he overexerts himself, it could harm him. He has been shown in canon to weaken and tire him physically, and if he over pushes himself from it, he can fall sick. 🌙 PHYSICAL ABILITIES/DEFENSES: Hakkai is a master in hand-to-hand martial arts but is self-taught in his own unique style, although it is mostly inspired by qigong. He is also inhumanly strong. (Mainly because he is inhuman, but even by youkai standards, he is almost horrifyingly physically powerful) When at base human strength, he could slay over 1,000 people human single-handedly and youkai alike throughout a year. As a youkai, he can stand a fighting chance against a demi-god and even fight against the war god Nataku and survive (although barely). Hakkai is claimed as the most flexible of the group by word of god of the main protagonists. In his true form, his physical capabilities increase, and his physical abilities expand. He grows elongated fangs and razor-sharp claws. The vine-like markings that wrap around his body are also extended parts of himself and can part from his body, expanding and retracting at will.
